Save the Date:  July 18 Where the Who’s Who in Auto Cyber Convenes

Attendees below raved about this year’s automotive cybersecurity summit; save the date for next year!
“The Billington Automotive CyberSecurity Summit was truly the most useful cyber event I have ever attended.” — Kristin Judge, Director of Special Projects, National Cybersecurity Alliance
“If the 500-strong crowd at the Billington Global Automotive Cybersecurity Summit here today is any indication, cybersecurity now has the automobile industry’s undivided attention.” — Bradford Wernle, AUTOMOTIVE NEWS
The 2nd Annual Summit on July 18 in Detroit will be the top leadership summit on auto cybersecurity convening, for the second year, a who’s who of speakers in the automotive cybersecurity ecosystem.

Mary Barra Opens as the Keynote at the 1st Annual Billington Automotive Cybersecurity Summit

Next year, with a new President and transportation team in Washington, D.C. and with the issue of cybersecurity becoming core to the future of autonomous vehicles, the summit will be larger and even stronger to include the entire ecosystem of automotive cybersecurity ranging from manufacturers, to suppliers, to media from around the world.

The 2017 Billington Automotive Cybersecurity Summit: The Top Leadership Summit on Auto Cybersecurity on July 18, 2017 in Detroit will build on the 2016 inaugural summit that brought together a who’s who of speakers including the CEO of GM Mary Barra and the Secretary of Transportation, prestigious media coverage from The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal and some 500 attendees.  NOTE: Attendees must be citizens of U.S. or allied nations to attend this event.

Ensuring connected and autonomous cars are safe from cyber attack is the linchpin for consumer acceptance of this transformative technology.  In his keynote at the 2016 Billington Automotive Cyberesecurity Summit, U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx, warned connected and autonomous vehicles will succeed only if cybersecurity best practices are adopted by all 18 world automakers.

Sen. Gary Peters, D.-MI, told the Billington Summit that when it comes to cybersecurity, “failure is not an option. The auto industry is going to have the highest bar of anybody in cyber.”

To achieve that cyber safety standard, the industry will have to collaborate with other OEMS, and with suppliers, the research community and more.

That’s why the 2nd Annual Summit will include the entire ecosystem of automotive cybersecurity:

  • OEMs
  • Automotive suppliers
  • Service providers
  • Regulators
  • Disruptors
  • Dealers
  • Defense Department
  • International players, and much more!

Don’t miss sponsoring or exhibiting at THE automotive cybersecurity summit of the year that will bring together senior decision-makers from government, industry and academia to address solutions to secure today’s connected and tomorrow’s autonomous vehicles.
